Local Nature Photographer & Beeswax Candle Maker, Jessica Wolfer

Hello! I'm Jess. Lately, I’ve been assembling and organizing the many nature-inspired photos I've captured over the past few years. I LOVE to move and be outside. I am honing my skills - AND recently started Upcycled Cadles CT LLC, a Candle Company dedicated to reducing consumer waste by refilling used candle vessels with 100% beeswax.

I'm a visual person. I'm not a huge fan of wasting words, being fluffy with language or rushing - although, somehow I'm always rushing! I'd prefer to snap a photo and let it do the talking.

I started Hike & Heal CT a few years back, as a way to bring people together in an outdoor setting -  to explore, discuss and move through the various impacts of anxiety on our lives. It’s evolved into a more reflective, solo-mission for the time-being. My hope is that the images that I collect serve as a momentary disconnection from the day-to-day, and transport you to someplace just a bit more magical.

Local Ceramic Artist
Brian R. Jones

Raised in the suburbs of Syracuse, NY Brian was drawn to art as a kid and teenager. Calvin and Hobbes and Richard Scarry books were early influences. He started working with clay as an undergraduate at Alfred University and by his second semester in ceramics it became a calling. He earned his MFA from Southern Methodist University and has been all over the country teaching workshops as a visiting artist and setting up at a variety of craft shows.

He lives on the Connecticut Shoreline with his family.

No matter what he's involved in at a given moment- in the back of his mind he is always thinking about pots.

They are a constant hum.
