Shortly after college and some time in the fashion industry in New York, Kate had the incredible experience of living in Paris for nearly a decade. Her time there changed how she viewed the spaces, objects, and daily rituals around her.  The Parisian way of life taught her how to find beauty in the smallest of everyday practices, beginning with 'deux bisous' (pronounced duh bee-zoo), meaning 'two kisses.'  A kiss on each cheek as a welcome greeting.

While there, she co-founded a clothing brand and boutique in the 6th arrondissement that dressed women from Japan to California in feminine yet tailored silhouettes and was featured in Elle, Marie-Claire, and several French publications.

After the birth of her son, her eye shifted towards the world of interiors through home products and styling.  She joined the design team at Anthropologie as a creative lead for home decor, concepts & textiles.  This experience formed her love of artisan craft and gave her a true appreciation for how and where items are made.

In 2020, during the depths of lockdown, longing for adventure but channeling that into her personal space- the idea to create DEUX BISOUS was born.  A boutique & website where you could shop hand-crafted and small-batch goods from all over the world to tell a rich story in your home.  In 2023 Kate found a perfect little space just ten minutes down the street, and finally, it was time for her dream to become a reality.
