Shortly after college and some time in the fashion industry in New York, Kate had the incredible experience of living in Paris for nearly a decade. Her time there changed the way she viewed the spaces, objects and daily rituals around her.  The Parisian way of life taught her how to find beauty in the smallest of everyday practices beginning with 'deux bisous' (pronounced duh bee-zoo) meaning 'two kisses'.  A kiss on each cheek as a welcome greeting.

While there she co-founded a clothing brand and boutique in the 6th arrondissement that dressed women from Japan to California in feminine, yet tailored silhouettes and was featured in Elle, Marie-Claire and several french publications.

After the birth of her son, her eye shifted towards the world of interiors through home products and styling.  She joined the design team at Anthropologie as a creative lead for home decor, concepts & textiles.  And it was this experience that really formed her love of artisan craft and gave her a true appreciation for how and where items are made.
